Frequently Asked Questions

How do I measure myself for a chastity cage?

Getting the correct size cage and ring is a critical part of enjoying lasting, long-term chastity.

Ring size

Measure yourself by wrapping a cord or string around your genitals (behind the scrotum) and securing it with a loose knot. The cord should be snug but comfortable, and loose enough that you can slide your pinky finger in between the cord and your skin. Leave the string on for at least five minutes and ensure no pain, discomfort, or discoloration occurs. If possible, try urinating during this process to ensure there continues to be no pain, discomfort, or discoloration. If any pain, discomfort, or discoloration occurs, loosen and remove the string immediately.

If there is no discomfort, continue to wear the string for 15-20 minutes. If it continues to remain comfortable, mark the location of the knot in the string with a permanent marker. Untie the string and measure the circumference using the mark you’ve just made. Try to measure as accurately as possible (to the nearest mm if possible).

Repeat this measurement process several times (at least three) at different times of the day and in different states of arousal. When you are done, take the average of all your measurements. This is your ring size.

Cage size

A chastity cage should fit snugly, with no gap between the tip of the penis and the end of the cage. While completely flaccid, using a tailor’s tape measure, measure from your pubic bone to the tip across the top of your penis. Take the average of several measurements taken during the course of the day. Then, we recommend subtracting 6mm / ¼ inch to 12mm / ½ inch from that measurement to achieve a snug, tight fit.

What is the difference between the barrel and the hex key locking mechanisms?

Olympus cages are available in two locking mechanism styles: a classic barrel lock, and our innovative Hexlock® system.

Our classic barrel-style lock is similar to the traditional side-accessible lock found on most common chastity devices, although we’ve made extra effort to streamline the profile of the locking barrel to make it less noticeable under clothing and more comfortable to wear.

Our Hexlock mechanism is a two-point securement system, tightened and locked with a special hex key. This locking system is much snugger, firmer, and feels more permanent than the barrel lock. The Hexlock system is also extremely low-profile, and is practically invisible under most clothing.

All our kits come with keys. Individual cages and rings do not come with keys. Replacement or additional keys are available by request.

How do I clean my Olympus chastity device?

All Olympus devices are non-porous, waterproof, and have finished surfaces approved for food contact according to regulation (EU) 10/2011. They can be cleaned with soap and hot water. We recommend you do not use abrasive cleaning sponges to avoid damaging the finish. After cleaning, polish with a buffing cloth for a silky, smooth finish.

Are Olympus devices compatible with Prince Albert (PA) piercings?

Hera is compatible with PA piercings, both regular and reverse. Depending on your piercing, you may also be able to use Hera with a deep-shaft PA.

Can I mix and match my Olympus rings and cage sizes?

As long as you are mixing and matching among the same locking style (barrel or Hexlock), all cages will fit any size ring. However, Hexlock cages will not fit on barrel-style rings, or vice versa, so please be sure to correctly identify which locking mechanism you are using when selecting cages and rings separately. Or, for an easier buying experience, kits are available.

How can I tell what size Olympus ring or cage I have?

All our cages and rings are marked on the surface with the size. Rings are marked near the locking mechanism; cages are marked on the interior top of the cage.

I lost my key. Can I get a replacement?

Contact us if you need a replacement key.

Can't I juse use a regular allen key to unscrew the Hexlock?

The bolt used on our Hexlock model cages has a socket much smaller than the average allen key you may have around the house. For reference, most allen keys used for furniture assembly are 4, 5, or 6mm, which are all too large to unlock our Hexlock cages.
